The Jinnah Burn & Reconstructive Surgery Centre (JBRSC), collaborates with the Centre of Excellence in Microbiology (CEMB). They pioneer research in stem cells contributing to advancements in burn and trauma patient care. It attends to approximately 31,000 patients annually in their Outpatient Department (OPD). They perform around 3,000 major surgeries each year. The international faculty and surgeons from countries like the UK, Russia, America, and Europe are hosted here. These experts provide lectures, share experiences, and participate in live surgeries. The junior doctors are trained here to empower Pakistani surgeons to offer advanced treatments. The center’s genesis dates back to 2005, and they continue to expand their impact.
Professor Dr. Moazzam Tarar, the former head of the plastic surgery department, has played a significant role in shaping JBRSC.
