The center provides a range of therapies and support for individuals with autism. Dr. Ahmed Faraz Bhatti is the founder and chairperson of this institution. ARCL was started in 2005 and is located in Engineering Town, Lahore. State-of-the-art facilities are provided for children with autism at ARCL. Dr. Faraz had a program to come to Pakistan from England. He had an idea to build an autism center to worldwide standards. The facilities would be given to others as my child avails them. We cannot call autism a disease. It is a lifelong condition. If you look scientifically, there is no reason for it. Children can have autism in a very mild form to a very severe form. There is a spectrum due to which there are therapies, and after various therapies, we can manage it. The diagnosis is that children usually do not make eye contact, look at moving objects, and sometimes make lines. Some children are physically weak. Some walk slowly. They don’t talk, they are non-verbal. There is a PAC system and some things have to be done with it. Sometimes it can be isolated from another associated problem such as Down Syndrome. In ARCL, the most advanced therapies and training are provided to autistic children and caring directives to their parents.
