Center for Special Needs in Lahore is a remarkable institution dedicated to serving special children and their families. Led by Madam Samina Mir, the chairperson of the NGO Khidmat ul Nisa Welfare Society Lahore, this center has been established with immense dedication over the past decade. As a mother of a special child, she understands the challenges faced by families with special children. Madam Ghazala Kaleem, the backbone of the center, continuously updates knowledge and elevates the institution’s standards.
The center provides a range of services to special children, including Physiotherapy, Speech Therapy, and Vocational Training. These services are delivered by qualified staff members who ensure personalized care and attention.
During the admission process, a thorough assessment is conducted to understand each child’s personality and needs. Additionally, counseling programs are offered to parents, enhancing communication and understanding.
The children at the center actively participate in various activities, exhibiting their talents and abilities. These activities contribute to their overall development and well-being.
The management is committed to promoting inclusive education, aiming to integrate special children into mainstream society. This approach raises understanding, acceptance, and empathy.
An encouraging initiative, the program “Adopt a Child Education” provides educational opportunities to underprivileged children, including those from villages and marginalized areas. Approximately 150 children benefit from this project.
The instruction to parents is clear, if you can afford it, bear the expenses of your child’s education. However, even if you can contribute partially, the remaining effort will be provided by the donors. The Center for Special Needs stands as a beacon of hope and compassion, making a significant impact in the lives of these extraordinary children and their families
