In the backward region of Gwadar, Baluchistan, there is hope for children suffering from thalassemic disease. It was registered in 2009 at the district headquarters in Gwadar and the co-founders of this organization are Mr. Younis Sahib and Mr. Esa Sahib. Gwadar has a big name but it was a forest and still is. The affected children (Thalassemic children) of Gwadar and nearby districts gradually joined them, and now more than 200 children are registered.
It started with the minimum resources and with the help of close friends, it still exists now. But, unfortunately, due to lack of resources, they don’t have blood bags to bleed and medicines to serve. The HOPE Foundation is registered based on this anticipation that, once registered, the government of Pakistan or local officials will assist in providing funds and other relevant facilities for the thalassemic children. Sadly, this has not been the case.
The only continuation is still possible due to donations from nearby people. These thalassemic children are not getting anything of any kind from the Government of Pakistan or any other NGOs. It means no donations, no medicines, and no equipment. There are only 6 people who are working as staff in the whole Thalassemic Center.
There are 15 thousand to 20 thousand rupees worth of medicines that are required each month for these thalassemic children, which these families cannot afford. They do not have the resources to get these facilities themselves. Only blood transfusions are given to children here. No medicine is provided. The poor girls need intensive treatment, and in an area like Gwadar, there is no treatment for these thalassemic children. Medicines are very expensive, and due to the lack of medicines the pressure on the vital organs of these children is significantly increased.
The Hope Foundation deserves donations and special attention for its efforts to promote the health level of thalassemic children in Gwadar, Baluchistan.
